Built as the successor to the Murcialgo, the Aventador was conceived in the standard practice of Naturally Aspirated V12 Lamborghinis. Every decade, the greatest minds within the company unite to evolve what could be the most influential automobiles ever created.
Development began under centralized concepts. Handling, Acceleration and Top Speed were prioritized in that order. All of this resulted in what was the most rapid, agile and all around engaging Lamborghini had ever produced when first unveiled in 2011.
Through the production run ending in 2022, the Aventador chassis and engine configuration have been used in the most variations of any other Lamborghini in history. What became the underpinnings of 9 iterations as well as 13 different special projects. From inception till 2016, over five thousand Aventadors had been built making it at the time, the second greatest selling Lamborghini of all time.
