Who Is Gunther Werks?

Located in Huntington Beach, California, Gunther Werks is committed to building the most track focused yet still road legal Porsche vehicles ever made. The genesis of Gunther Werks arose from a fundamental idea: What if the Porsche 993 was built to its maximum potential, employing contemporary components to birth the 993 911 GT3RS that had never come to fruition? The primary objective for the company was to preserve the analog sensation of connectivity with the vehicle while leveraging modern technology to amplify its performance. Through extensive research and development, the team at Gunther Werks has achieved remarkable feats. One of which was setting the fastest lap time for an air cooled 911 at Laguna Seca Raceway with the assistance of racing driver Randy Pobst. The company’s nearly record-setting Porsche was just a few milliseconds slower than a McLaren P1 around the renowned circuit. While Gunther Werks initially began as a passion project for founder Peter Nam, owner of Vorsteiner, it has since blossomed into one of the most significant automotive accomplishments of the past decade.

The incomparable cars to bear the Gunther Werks name are coveted by the world’s most discerning collectors -- and now are available for purchase at Gunther Werks Beverly Hills. Please contact our team for the latest information regarding availability.

Gunther Werks Coupe

Limited to just 25 units, the Porsche 911 Coupe remastered by Gunther Werks is engineered to deliver astonishing lap times while remaining road-legal. Originating from a 1995 Porsche 993 911, each car undergoes meticulous disassembly and is rebuilt using carbon fiber, magnesium and aluminum. Despite the comprehensive overhaul, the chassis and engines retain their original numbers, ensuring the vehicle's authenticity remains intact. The original engine is bored out from 3.6 liters to 4.0 liters and undergoes a complete rebuild with modern racing components, resulting in an impressive output of 430 horsepower and a redline of 8100 RPM, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated air-cooled 911 ever produced. Non-essential components are stripped away to achieve optimal weight reduction, resulting in a remarkable 600-pound decrease from the factory specifications. The careful attention to detail combined with unparalleled performance elevates this vehicle to new heights.

Gunther Werks Speedster

In addition to the Coupe, Gunther Werks introduced a new open-air model to enhance the driving experience even further: the Speedster. Drawing inspiration from legendary Porsche road cars of the past, the Gunther Werks Speedster eliminates the side windows and roof and shortens the windscreen, allowing the glorious soundtrack of the 4.0-liter flat-six engine to be fully appreciated.

Despite the removal of the roof, stiffness is uncompromised, with modern techniques ensuring the Speedster is twice as rigid as the coupe, without any added weight penalty. The vehicle inherits several performance upgrades, including remapped engine tuning for a modest increase in horsepower and torque. Like the Coupe, only 25 units of the Speedster will be produced, offering enthusiasts a truly exclusive driving experience. Reach out today to review availability.

Gunther Werks Turbo

With the transition away from naturally aspirated commissioned vehicles, Gunther Werks has set its sights on developing a twin-turbocharged version of its iconic 911 restorations. The result, the Turbo Coupe, is intended as the most track-oriented iteration of the classic Porsche 911 Turbo.

Internally dubbed Project Tornado, this endeavor pushes the boundaries of what is achievable with an air-cooled power plant. In its standard road setting, the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine produces an impressive 600 horsepower. Activating a button on the steering wheel-mounted powertrain selector increases the engine’s output to a staggering 700 horsepower with a redline of 7,500 RPM. A total of 75 examples will be produced, tripling the production volume of any other model by Gunther Werks. Inquire today about purchase opportunities.
